Advice needed..
I'm in the middle of a rear on the truck and a month away from the LS6 going in so I'm pretty much going with a new cluster. Instead of buying one of those cheap plastic ones I decided to make my own panel.
I'm not going to go crazy on the gauges but I would like your thoughts on what color I should use on the panel itself. I think the interior is a goldish brown , which is faded and the outside is an Alpine green. What do you guys think I should do? Thanks |

I actually am doing the same thing you are with my truck only my interior is light blue and gloss black and all that I am going to do is make an overlay of the gauges with some aluminum diamond plate

I'm dealing with sorta the same thing myself, I have a billit insert but don't want to leave it polished. I have considered painting it the same color as the interior, light fawn, with a dark bezel to kind of match the glove box which has the dark trim at the bottom with the Chevrolet lettering on it. Keep us posted on what you do.

Re: Advice needed..
I think a charcoal grey would look nice on that. Actually I even like the look of the bare metal. You could just use a satin clear coat on it. Or how about heating the plate to get a tempered bluing effect and then clear?

Re: Advice needed..
I kind of dig it bare or a grey finish. i know the glove box door is more of that brown finish so I may lean towards that.
Great ideas. I'll have something by this weekend. I hope to atleast |
