My Truck Let Me Down Today
Taking the boy to the Dentist this morning and my faithful old truck quit, just like I turned the key off. It's never let me down. Had it hauled home and now I'll see what happened. I'm thinking probably ignition module, but we'll see. Not the way I planned on ending the year, riding home in a wrecker.

Its bound to happen but at least our truck rarely do this compared to some much newer than ours. hope it's an easy fix, also happy almost new year.

Re: My Truck Let Me Down Today
To quit that quick has got to be something electrical--at least there isn't that many things to have to figure out. When was the last time it let you down?

It has to be something fairly simple to quit like that. It may be as simple as a blown fuse or something similar.

Re: My Truck Let Me Down Today
I just took a look at it and it looks like the little carbon piece in the distributor is the culprit. It was burnt looking and was not extending out past the cap, so know way it could be making contact with the rotor. When I went to pull it out it was stuck. Looks like a new cap and rotor will fix it. This time AC parts. By the way some funny comments. Happy New Year guys.
