Front Lug Studs.. :(
Keep nreaking front lugs studs, just half ton stuff. It seems the Dorman Studs are soft compared to the factory ones. Suggestions??

NAPA. I never broke mine on my 84 K10.

I don't know the specific brands, but I know the 3/4 ton aftermarket studs seem to be all the same, whether it's NAPA, Kragen, or online suppliers.
I'm familiar with Dorman for other products, and I can't say for certain that all the studs I got were Dorman, but they most likely were. They were all identical from all the various outlets (including NAPA), and they were all garbage. In the end, I went to a junkyard and popped out about a dozen OEM lug studs and made myself a little stockpile. I haven't been breaking them, but I've been stripping the threads. |
