69 C10 Engine Identification
I am in need to indentify what engine i have in my 69 c10. i believe it is a 396 but i want to make sure. i got the truck a few months ago, it has a edelbrock intake manifold on it so the numbers under the distrib are gone. i need to know if there is some other place or way i can figure out what exact engine it is.

Re: 69 C10 Engine Identification
At the front of the pass. side cylinder head there should be a strip of the engine block visible probably down behind the alternator. If the block hasn't been decked during a rebuild there should be a series of letters & numbers which will ID. the engine for you.
