My Blue 67
Well after owning my truck for a little over a yer now I'm finally getting around to starting a build thread. Right now my truck is my daily driver but soon it will just be a toy. I bought my truck from my cousin who bought it from the estate of the original owner. Was originally a 6 cyl 3 speed. My cousin converted it to a 350 with a turbo 350 tranny. also installed tilt and power steering and power drum brakes replaced the rockers then used it for his parts hauler when he was Restoring his 67 GTO and 67 Lemans and 67 Firebird convertible. This is when I came into the picture. I bought it cleaned the engine bay up and added the wheels. Also been collecting parts so when I tear it down I'll have everything waiting.

So far I've collected a NOS dash pad new inner and outer door handles new door seals outside mirrors and a new bed. The one on it has some issues plus I have a few custom touches i want to do to it.

Looks like a nice clean truck. I like your plans for it. Are you doing the suspension work?

Thanks. I'm thinking about having Charlies drop shop lower it for me. Been working on finishing all the welding on the bed and will have pictures up soon.

Re: My Blue 67
Be careful with them I have a friend that had a really bad experiance there with his new suburban. These trucks are really easy to do, let me know I have a buddy up here that does alot this and would most likely save you some money. You would just have to buy the parts before hand. Pm me if your interested. Later, Kelly

Re: My Blue 67
Had a little time to work on the truck today. Got one side welded up and mst of the grinding done. also got all the cross sills and fender wells out. Should be able to get a little more done soon. I'm going back to the metal fab chop I use to work at and I'm off gor the next month. On the plus side I'll be making $7 a hr more than I was so I'll be able buy some parts for the truck easier.

Re: My Blue 67
Nice progress. Wow, what a find with the tailgate! I've got my bed all tore apart and hope to get it all welded back together this weekend. Then off to the frame. Think I am going to build some tubular control arms while I have it torn apart. I'm not far away if you ever need any help.

Finally got around to working on the truck some. fixed the rust on the drivers side inner kick panel. We'll be fixing the passenger side next week and the roof as soon as I find a patch panel for it. I work in a sheet metal fab shop now with a bunch of car junkies that want to help me lol.

Re: My Blue 67
Anyone know if they make sections of new roof panels or do I need to buy a complete panel or find a original section to cut the piece out I need.

Re: My Blue 67
Got a little more done today. Got the drivers side kick panel ready for primer and welded in the patch panel on the passenger side and got it ready for primer. I'm going to fix a couple pin holes on the floor prime paint and line X the floor when I get off work on Sunday. Should be able to start working on it more real soon. I just found another Daily driver. It's a rust free 67 C20 with 98K original miles 283 with 3 speed manual tranny.

Re: My Blue 67
More progress on the rust repair. Not much but at least it's something. Got the inner kick panels primed and made a patch panel for the rain gutter. Just need to trim the vertical part of it to fit. I'll get that welded in sometime next week when my welder buddy is feeling better. Will be able to work on it a little more when I get my new DD driver next month. it's a low mileage c20 with not a speck of rust 283 v8 with 3 on the tree and the nicest all original interior I've ever seen.
