As far as I know, all factory manifolds were cast iron...

My '87 V6 (TBI) has a stainless, welded construction manifold -

Look on 3/4 ton trucks and larger. They were the ones I have seen with the stainless headers. I have owned a couple withe the factory headers and all were heavy duty trucks.

Maybe you are referring to these; Corvette mid to late 80's maybe early nineties.
These had the air injection plugs welded up and I believe they are the same side; just don't know which.

I think those are the ones. I was wondering if anyone was running them also, just saw a set on CL the other day. I was thinking of replacing my rotted tube headers.

i took mine off and put long tube headers with 3in. collecters

Thanks that is them, do you guys know if I would see or feel a power diff, with my 383 and 2.5 in ram horn. I dont think I could tell.
