Re: bad things can happen with fast air bags
That sucks. My buddy had fast drop system on a 55 Buick and we used the rockers to crush beer cans. It was fun.

Re: bad things can happen with fast air bags
That truck does not have bumpstops which would prevent it from bottoming out like that. I can air out my truck all at once and it will never hit like that even if my truck layed frame I would still have bump stops to prevent that.

Re: bad things can happen with fast air bags
I couldn't even finish watching the video, I was so annoyed. Morons like this are the reason why some people get such bad impressions of air systems. A properly working system does not act like this. Just my .2cents
Oh, and it helps if you bolt your truck together before screwing around

Re: bad things can happen with fast air bags
He could slow the drop speed by putting reducers on the valves.. I'm sure those are 1/2" valves with nothing to slow them down..

Re: bad things can happen with fast air bags
Sorry, I just laughed. It looks staged anyway. He sure didn't seem the list bit concerned when his unbolted grill fell out.
When it first started playing I sorta cringed cause I thought he was gonna lay rocker on his foot or something ... OUCH!

Re: bad things can happen with fast air bags
I wish someone had of videoed the first fast bags I ever saw in action.Stock looking and height Dodge truck, nearly brand new,at a cruise night. Two guys with their heads together and nearly inside the open window. The owner stood acroos the aisle from them and watched until the were heads in and oogling his interior. Then he hit the wireless remote and dropped the truck to the rockers.Just missed hitting both of them in the head and they probably had to have "special service" at the laundry.
I didn't understand it then and still don't.If you like bags, that's cool, just don't set them up where they can tear up what you worked so hard on.I think they are the perfect choice for the work/tow rig AKA Saturday Night Special.

Re: bad things can happen with fast air bags
This is what happens when people try to replace hydros with bags. It makes me sick to see a vehicle hopping with bags... My truck should be bagged by the end of this year, but you can guarantee it won't be able to do this. ... I want a moderately slow drop... I'd say 10-15 seconds to air it out, allowing me to get the exact stance I want.
