Updated interior pics

Since I have been getting a lot of questions about my 73 and progress, or lack therof...here are some new pics as of today. Garage time has been hard to find with work kids...three of em all 4 or under...lol!
  • Factory low back bucket seats
  • new seat covers (73-87chevytrucks.com)
  • seat heaters
  • factory console with aluminum cup holder insert
  • carpet, ACC (73-87chevytrucks.com)
  • factory AM/FM radio with modern internals, MP3 (www.turnswitch.com)
  • B&M Pro Stick shifter sitting on custom built console painted to match interior
  • fiberglassed dash pad, painted to match interior
  • Autometer Ultralight gauges, mounted in factory location using custom brackets (www.73-87.com)
  • under-dash transmission temp gauge and clock mounted in modified Autometer bracket
  • ustom cab corner 6x9 speaker brackets, painted to match interior with Pioneer speakers (www.73-87.com)
  • custom rear cab panel enclosure, covered in same material as headliner
  • recovered headliner
  • Chip Foose autographed lower column cover
  • late model rear view mirror with map lights
  • 81-87 kick panels (cleaner look)
  • interior trim painted with SEM Light Buckskin
  • Spal remote entry system (shaved door locks)

All that is left is the following
  • wrap up 1-piece window install
  • Install newly restored 77-80 door panels along with the 79-80 door speaker option
  • install NOS sill plate set
  • install new Grant steering wheel

I have a couple things to do under the hood, and the truck will be ready to come to life...its looking like 2012 will be the year it sees the road finally!

Thanks for all the questions and interest...everyone have a great weekend.

Looks good. Can you post some close up pics of that dash around the defroster vent openings, and do you have a link to the fiberglass dash project?

I borrowed a camera for the pics, as our is toast. It is all stock up there except for the glassed over speaker grill openings. I don't have a link for the glassing, but I simply roughed up the dash pad real good, took down the high spots where there were minor cracks, glassed over everything 5-6 times with resin only, and had it professionally bodyworked and painted. I have heard that simply using resin won't work, but so far it has. I am not completely 100% happy with it, so if it has any issues, it will be easy for me to replace and i'll feel totally justified.

Re: Updated interior pics

look's awsome ! I'm curious if the smoth and glossy dash will cause a glare on the windshield, you need to get every thing else done so you cane drive it and let us know if it does !
the seats and console look great, I would like to do that to my car hauler.

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure if it looks shinier than it really is though.

Re: Updated interior pics

Very cool Jeff!! The truck is getting really close now.

I was thinking of doing Car Craft in July, your truck next to my suburban would be pretty awesome! Your truck would make my already sad looking suburban look even worse but I would be ok with it
