Gauge question!
So pretty much in my 84 dash I wanna get rid of the speedometer for a tach. This could involve changing the fuel gauge as well but it's mostly the speedometer that I would rather change out. Something cheap would work

Re: Gauge question!
Why do you want to remove the speedo for a tach? Off road use only?

Re: Gauge question!
I had a small sunpro stuffed into that pocket for a while, just drilled a small hole in the top corner for the wires to come through. Looked ok and was actually more visible then the factory tach that replaced it.

Re: Gauge question!
GPS install plus a manual tranny plus always speeding and never being pulled over has me not wanting the stock speedo. It will never be accurate so there is no point lol.
I want it to look nearly stock and I have a cubby hole there and I want to keep it as that's where my wallet goes when I drive. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Gauge question!
I put this in my truck about a week ago. It fits in a standard cluster and uses power from gas gauge for the tach. There is only one wire to hook up to dist. It was $210 shipped.

Re: Gauge question!
Isn't it illegal not to have an odometer? I don't know, that is the only issue I would see.

Re: Gauge question!
Gps being installed should solve that problem.. But it's illegal to not have mud flaps also and that doesnt make me want them any more. So I'm not to worried. The factory tach doesn't help with getting rid of The useless speedometer for me. But it does look good. I'm curious if I could get a camari tach in place where the speedo goes... What years work in place of the fuel sender?
