Where can i find 65 GMC sway bars
Im having problems finding sway bars for the front and rear. Just a half ton with the 305 V6. (for now) The few places i check showed it incompatible with the chevy C10.

The front is same as a Chevy, rear is different than Chevy as GMC's usually had leafs in rear. Any 63-87 1/2 ton 2wd front bar should fit.

I pulled the one for my 64 off a 73 one ton dually out of the wrecking yard, it's 1-1/4" dia. Bolted right in using all the brackets from the 73.

Now what to do about the rear? Do they sell a rear sway bar for the chevy with Leaf? I think the GMC has wider leaf springs.

Re: Where can i find 65 GMC sway bars
I would just try the 1.25 front for now, drive it around and see if you actually "need" a rear. Not alot of weight in the rear to sway...

Re: Where can i find 65 GMC sway bars
i run a front sway bar from a 86 suburan 1.25 and i got my rear sway bar from brothers. i have a 1963 gmc suburan with rear leaf springs..i cut the front springs and used a lowering schackle on the rear.it used to have a 305 v6 but it now has a 454.i think it rides good.the 454 weights less than a 305 v6
