C30 DRW, what size tires????

Ok you 1 ton guys, what size tires do you run on the duals. I want to get as tall a tire as I can without them rubbing. I have 1 piece wheels off of a 80 chevy they are prob 7 or 8 inches wide.. the tire shops around here keep telling me different things and I don't really know sizes that well. Coop

235-85-16 is the biggest tire you will be able to run without them rubbing each other without a spacer. These will actually kiss each other if you overload real heavy, but for normal use they will be fine.

Re: C30 DRW, what size tires????

235/85-16s are as close (if not the same) metric radial size/profile as the 7.50-16s bias plies that came on these trucks. 85 series is the taller/narrower profile. The higher the first number the bigger the tire. The second number determines the height to width ratio. The lower the number the shorter and wider.
