Re: just ordered my turbo

Keep the boost down to 6 psi or so, good EFI with pressure retard, should do well.

http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/th...-500whp**/385/ Just an example of how well truck motors do. Only had valve springs replaced, and I think he ran almost 20 pounds of boost. It popped due to hardware being dropped into the motor I believe.

Re: just ordered my turbo

I plan on doing more than 6lbs of boost.... Motor work is going to include a ZO6 cam and better springs, ls9 head gaskets, arp head studs, new helfire rings, arp rod bolts looking for 600rwhp. These ls motors are pretty stout....

Re: just ordered my turbo

If you were shooting for just 600whp then i would have went with a smaller turbo. The S475 has tons of boost lag.

Re: just ordered my turbo

What's the AR on the exhaust side? If it's the stock 1.32 then you may not see boost until 3500+ rpm. If it's the 1.10 housing then it will be better but still a big turbo for that size motor and only 600 as the goal. 600 will be easy with that turbo.

Re: just ordered my turbo

it's a 75mm compressor, 96mm turbin wheel, 1.32 housing, standard cover... If i don't like how it spools, i can install a quick spool valve. Plus if i want more power later, it's there!!
