Re: 66 GMC pics finally
Looks like your off to a good start. Is that the original gauge panel with new gauges? I have the same panel but haven't found an aftermarket replacement. I want new gauges but didn't think they would fit in the factory holes.

Re: 66 GMC pics finally
I'm interested to see that center console come along.
Whats with the neon trailing arms tho? Is it stock trailing arms with some sort of cover? The pic looks like its held in place with hardware. I'd be worried about the neon tubes cracking the casing, but I suppose certain brands have much thicker casing so it may not be an issue. You can always go LED pretty easily.

Re: 66 GMC pics finally
the trailing arms are stock but i welded them where as they were normaly pressed and as for the covers i had a chunk of stainless with that design laser cut to fit i made all the brackets...as for the neons they are held in with some flexible plastic mount and there is some foam type padding hidden behind the stainless hopefully this will be enough support and cushion for them
also if you look in the picture of my gauge pod there is two aircraft toggle switches im planning on running the neons to one of them.... below the gauge pod are two led skull license plate bolts that are on the same switch when the neons are on the skulls eyes light up just so i can remeber when they are on i wouldnt want to get pulled over for that |

Re: 66 GMC pics finally
Some nice fab work going on. I like the use of the valve cover to hold the extra guages and radio

Re: 66 GMC pics finally
Makes more sense about the trailing arms.
Just noticed your in Janesville, I used to go there all the time when I went to school in Whitewater.
