Under Bed Ramps and Holder
Anybody have pics or a link to an under bed ramp/holder system? I'm looking to build my own for my '79 and would like to see what others have done, if anybody. I've dealt with carrying ramps in the bed and i would rather use the space they take for other things. Ramps would be used primarily for carrying dirtbikes, a quad, and DR brush mowers, along with any other wheeled/heavy item i need to load.

Re: Under Bed Ramps and Holder
depending on the ramps all you would need to do it to design a slide out where the spare tire goes. http://www.mappcaster.com/images/Magline/Ramp-sli.jpg. those are what i usually see on the semi's i unload. they go over the rear axles and some have pins or notches to keep them from moving when unwanted.

Re: Under Bed Ramps and Holder
you would need a long ramp to go up to the bed?
are you looking to make it slide in the bed or under it? if you was going under would there be enough room to clear the axle when loaded? its a cool idea maybe built a raised floor or a box in the bed high enough to slide ramps in? |
