Dead again!
I went to leave for work today and my truck was dead to the world again. Arg!!!!
So I went straight to the parts store and bought me a new one wire alternator. My quesion is, do I have to buy the harness to bypass the old regulator, or jump it out?? If not will the voltage gauge still work? I like the idea of cleaning up the wiring by eliminating the old regulator, but I dont want to start hacking wires without knowing what it might affect! Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Dano, I've got the same problem.... truck will discharge over night if I leave the batt. plugged in. I think you jump the 1st and 3rd wires and the 2nd and 4th wires... but I'm not sure. Search on the i'net.. there is plenty of stuff about it.

Don't search any farther than the FAQs here. I'm pretty sure this is covered by an article there. If not, just use the search feature.
