Well. Now that the snow is starting to melt. in about another month im gotta be taking my "pizza cutter" snow tires and rims off and putting my new chrome rims on my truck. only problem is i got no tires ha. im looking at the General Grabber AT2. The BF Good Rich All Terrain. Or The Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx. the size is 265 75 16. has anybody ever had these tires? my father has the bf good rich on is 06 duramax. and loves them. i can not justify spending the money on them tho. what have you used and had good luck with?

Im with your dad, I had BF Goodrich AT´s a couple of work pickups and latest on a Nissan Patrol while I was in Africa. They are good, I also tried Coopers but they are not as comfortable as Goodrich on tarmac.

Michelin, the stiff side wall and hard compound will weather check before they wear out, stiff ride
BF Goodrich - had several set on my 1/2 tons, decent traction, decent ride, would have to think twice about putting them on a truck that I loaded often
Bridgestone = Firestone = junk side walls, won't buy them ever. Not happy with them even on a new car.
Goodyear = OK, a little pricey for what you get
Coopers and Generals are fair quality at reasonable price, decent ride but only fair on wear
Just my opinions

+1 on Bridgestone & Firestone. Don't know how they stay in business.

Hmmm, I've had nothing but great experiences with the Firestone Destination AT's I've got on my truck. I don't get to do much off-road stuff, but they have been fine for what I do.

I was down to these or the General Grabbers AT2s as the 2 I would have taken, but the Grabbers had to be special ordered from my shop, and I didn't have the time to wait on them.

im running Dunlop Radial Rover A/T on my 77 2wd and on my 79 4x4 they are realy good tires and they clean out super good i have to say my 2wd gets stuck have as much as it did befor.

the BFG's will last the longest. that justifies the expense

What are you looking for in a tire?

For me, though expensive..

Michelin is #1 - I only dont have them now because they didnt make the size I wanted. I wanted those LTX-MS2

BFG-AT's #2 - Have them now and love the ride and the wear. They ride great at 20MPH or 80MPH. Did good for me in the snow and ice, as well as in the rain. Got about 15k on them now and they still look new tread wise.

I was also looking at the general grabbers, and would have tried them out but they didnt make the size I wanted either.

I used to have a set of goodyear "wrangler TD" on mine and I liked them too. They did really well in mud/snow and ice. Never tried them in deep mud, just on a few trails. They only come in the 265/75/16 size too. They seemed to have good wear, decent ride, and didnt cost too much.
