Re: Newbie..71 BlazeR
Lol no celebrity here, the engine out is the current state of the vehicle. Mid February I'm going to pull a harness out of the junkyard and I'm going to start wiring the engine. I still need to pick up a new body harness. I'm currently deciding on what one to go with(painless etc.). The Engine harness I am going to modify myself, I want to tuck a lot of it so it's not visible. I also need to figure out my seat situation. I have the factory buckets but they need to be redone. They will most likely be a job for next year. I just cant wait to drive it this year, its been sitting at my shop since last October(2010).

Re: Newbie..71 BlazeR
Update: The LQ4 is junk, I started putting it together and I found the cylinders rusted. I had it half wired at the time. I just picked up an LY6 from an 08 Van and now have to completely rework the harness.

Re: Newbie..71 BlazeR
Its been almost 3 years since my last post. I have installed Doug Thorley Headers and had the exhaust done. I started installing an American Auto Wire harness. I swapped out the sealed beams with a set of conversion lights. I recovered the seats. I still need to finish the rear seat. I cleaned up the frame with the body still attached. I am also replacing the rear springs with 4" Tuff Country springs and all 4 shocks got replaced. I really hope to get it on the road this year.

Re: Newbie..71 BlazeR
Some pics from last week. I hope to get it close to being on the road by next week. I just sold my Jeep so I am going to need a topless summer vehicle now. |

Re: Newbie..71 BlazeR
My shop is just a garage that I rent. I have a lift and all my tools there. I've been there since 2009. I have enough room for the Blazer, my Type-R and all my crap(there is a lot of it). I also have enough room to pull in another car and work on it.

Re: Newbie..71 BlazeR
Don't remember who he said. But it was a member on here that machines the brackets .... he can chime in.

Re: Newbie..71 BlazeR
This is where I got the brackets from http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=637489
I used calipers from AutoZone. They were around 150 with the core. |
