Re: 67 cab to mid 80's frame?
It can be done, but your 80's frame will be a longer wheelbase, the differences in the bends of the frames are quite a bit different.I had planned on doing the same thing with my truck build, but after I worked trying to work out the cab and radiator support mounts I decided to find a factory 4 wheel drive frame instead.I found one with a rough body and a straight frame and junked it out for the frame, everything now will bolt in place without any modifying.

Re: 67 cab to mid 80's frame?
We switched this over to a 77 chassis in less than two weeks working on it in the evenings. Helps to have someone that can cut and weld and has the way to do your lifting. Shorten the frame and inch and a half.

A suburban chassis will work better from 73-91 . Also you don't have to shorten the chassis it's 3 inches narrower in wheelbase than a long bed truck of the same year
