Hey guys,
Anyone running the Dakota Digital red carbon fibre VHX gauges yet? I am looking for pics of them installed.

Re: red carbon fibre vhx gauges
Well for all the canadians on the board just a heads up. I spoke with Dakota Digital and they do not have any plans to make the background gauge faces in KPH. The digital display will do KPH but the faces will remain in MPH.
I think theses gauges are sweet and fit the needs of anyone doing a LS swap but how hard is it to print a KPH gauge face?

Re: red carbon fibre vhx gauges
I have them in my LY6/6L90 swap. The BIM for conversion from GMLAN to the gauges. less wires to run. only tach, Oil Press, and Fuel Gauge (plus lights). Made for a cleaner install, and it even gives me the transmission indication. 71 GMC stepside LY6/6L90

Re: red carbon fibre vhx gauges
it was my first set I've installed. The only item I saw to pay attention too was the Brake Indicator. the VHX apparently has power. so I did not wire power to it. I used the BIM01 for conversion of the GMLAN for most of the stuff. Just left, 2 power, one hot one ignition, turn signals, Brake light, Mil, High beam, and the Oil Pressure. went real well.

with the gauges, the new wiring harness, and trying to figure out where i'm going to run my lq4 harness. I have a lot of unfamiliar work ahead of me. |
