Re: new in TN

What's up buddy ! Welcome to the board from Chattanooga.

The main thing I would suggest is rust. Be careful and selective on the truck you buy unless you're really good with metal work, etc. Rust repair gets expensive really quicky. Otherwise ,.. have fun with it ! Build it how you want it. Let me know if I can help you with parts, etc.

Welcome from Central Florida!
Yep, rust is a killer. Take a flashlight and a magnet with you when you go look at these things and take your time, they built lots of these so be patient and you will find a good one.

Welcome to the board.
The biggest problem with these trucks is they love to eat money.

Re: new in TN

Nothing like cruising with the window down and your elbow up on the door though ..

I'll pay for that vs. driving my Hybrid to the shop for maintenance. Just my .02. They all cost money. I had a BMW 335 for a while and it was cool and all .. and prob one of the fastest cars I have ever owned. But, tires, maintenance, etc. It's all the same money to me. Invest in something that depreciates, or invest in something that appreciates (to a point) ?

Just opinion I guess.

I say let's save them all. They're not making trucks like this anymore.

Re: new in TN

Good looking truck,,,,,, You might want to take a magnet with you and see if it will stick to the rockers and cab corners.

Welcome to the board, I'm right up the road from you in Blountville. Looks like a decent truck from the pics, but pics can be very decieving.

There's actually two Grand Rod Runs. Second weekend in April and Second weekend in Sept. Then there's the Shades of The Past. It's always the first weekend of Sept., the weekend before the fall Grand.
