Has anyone ever dealt with a front crank seal leaking on a gm 350 crate motor i have done lots of research on it and am completely stumped, here is what i am working with, 350 crate motor normal breathers, pcv all hooked up, is it possible the blow by from a new motor is making this happen and it will go away? thanks in advance

if a crank seal is leaking its got nothing to do with anything but bad rubber in the seal..prolly assembled wrong it needs to be taken apart and the seal replaced

Re: front crank seal leaking 350crate

I have an 07 Duramax with a front seal leak and in the first year GM had replaces the front seal 3 times...I finally got fed up and took it to another dealer...The oil was actually coming from the crank bolt hole due to a Porous Crank...Just a thought.

If its a true crate they sell it in longblock and you use youre old balancer old balancer may have a groove in it pull balancer use a repair sleeve and a new seal
