What is the bracket for on the 71-72 accelerator assembly?
I bought one from a junk yard, and will be replacing my 69 unit with the conversion from LFD. I will be trimming the extra bracketry from the hold down, but I was curious what the bracket was for in the first place? Any Ideas?

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply. I have no experience with a TH400, so I didn't have the slightest clue. My truck is running a 700R4, so now I know I definitely won't be needing any of that. Beautiful truck in your avatar by the way MrGoodpliers!
