Cowl to Hood Gap!
I have everything fitted and painted. Lines look great all over until I installed the cowl. Installed the cowl and got it lining up good and close the hood and notice a close to 1/2 gap between the hood and cowl. The gap between the hood and grill is great. Any ideas on what to do?

Re: Cowl to Hood Gap!
If the lines of the cowl line up with the back of the fenders were they meet the doors have a good even gap then about all you can do is slide thee hood back a little to split the difference.

Re: Cowl to Hood Gap!
Install your hood to cowl seal that the factory used in that location for the gap and you should be good to go.

Re: Cowl to Hood Gap!
I have found that if you loosen the front bolt on the hood hinge where it attaches to the fender, and raise the hinge a little, it will close that gap. And yes, you will have to re-adjust the rear also.
I know that there should be some spring(for a lack of a better term) when you pop the hood latch, how much I'm not quite sure. |
