I know some of you guys have figured out the best way to modify the seat brackets to move the front bucket seats back. Pretty sure it won't be to hard on the drivers side, the passenger flip may be a different story. How about reclining the seats a little, anyone ever attempt that?

Let's hear what you've done, pics are welcome of course!

I know you saw this already, but I'll post it up again incase anyone else is intereseted.

On my blazer there were threaded bosses/brakets about 2" further back on both sides of the rear mounts of my driver's seat, so that part was just a bolt in deal. For the front mounts I took a 4x4 box tube and cut it into 2 hefty L brackets (could have easily used 2x4, but my local metal supply had the 4x4 length for $3). I left one side the full 4" and trimmed the other until it sat level from the original raised front mounts and back down to the floor. I mounted the bracket to the original front threads and then mounted the seat to the bracket. If I owned a welder, I probably would have welded it to the floor as well as welded nuts to the bracket for an easier install, but I don't...haha

This is how close the seat gets to the raised part of the tub when the seat is all the way back:

These two are just side views of it so you can see the difference:

I'm sure you can do the same for the passenger, but at the time I didn't have the bracket for the flip seat. My blazer also didn't have holes in the floor board for them, so drilling shouldn't be an issue...

Don't remember seeing another set of threaded bosses in the floor of mine, but I'll be burrs to check! Thanks, anyone else have an idea?

Just checked. I don't have those extra holes like you did. I'm jealous now.

Awe man...but if you look at those brackets or what ever they are, the aren't that beefy. I don't see why you can't either cut them off and move them back yourself, or even just drill some new holes and use a plate that's similar in size. I can measure the distance between the two if you'd like.

Ive done some measuring. I think I've got a plan, but wanted to see what options were out there. No need to reinvent the wheel.
