V8 Fan Shroud Mounting

I'm in the process of re-installing my fan shroud after my radiator rebuild. The PO had installed it with Zip ties and I would prefer to do it the right way. Does anyone have a photo or schematic of how it should be attached?

Re: V8 Fan Shroud Mounting

I think it should have two metal things on each side that bolt to the core support on each side of the radiator, the shroud screws to that using sheetmetal screws into the metal dividers ( I dont know the name of those divider things) the radiator sits in the two rubber cradles on the cross member and the upper radiator brace bolt to the core support. I know that is more than you asked for but I hope it helps

Re: V8 Fan Shroud Mounting

Thanks Clyde. I was wondering if there were any type of threaded clips or something. The sheetmetal screws were the part I was missing and that makes it all make sense now.

Re: V8 Fan Shroud Mounting

I can and thank you as well. Good thing I moved my old desktop to my work area in my garage so I can check in on these posts.

Now I just need one of those plastic keyboard covers like the old school parts guys used to have at the parts counters. I miss that. The Autozones and the likes of them just don't cut it.

Re: V8 Fan Shroud Mounting

The original installation used those slide on clips that enabled sheetmetal screws to thread into the side panels.

Re: V8 Fan Shroud Mounting

Would you happen to have the part# or a picture of the clips, Rich? Just so I can get an idea of the size.
