GMC's came factory with leaf springs. Chevy's had coil spring's from the factory. Hope that help's.

Looks factory to me. Leaf springs were optional on 2-wheel drive trucks. My 72 1/2 ton Custom Deluxe has rear leafs. Hope this helps. Joseph
