I can lay on 28" tall tire right now without them
With a 2.5" drop spindle can I lay on a 30.5" or 33" tall tire

For every inch you increase the tire height, you raise the spindle a 1/2 inch.

So if you increase the tire size by 5 inches and drop the spindle 2.5 inches, it should be a wash.
