Need some opinions on interior colors for my Blazer

I've got my 72 2WD Blazer at the shop having rust replaced with metal. I'm leaning towards Hugger Orange as the color. I can't pick an interior color that I like. I don't want white and I don't want black (for heat reasons).

Please give me some suggestions and pictures if you have them.

Has your interior ever gotten wet? How hot is it in the summer?

Re: Need some opinions on interior colors for my Blazer

My blazer is also orange, and I like the white vinyl with orange houndstooth that I installed (originally white with orange highlander). Nice and cool in the summer.

Since you don't want white or black,,,and your blazer is orange,,,the only other color that comes to mind that would look classy is a light tan or beige on the vinyl,,,would look nice against the orange exterior color. I see that on alot of street rods, it's a good looking combo. Not much else really goes with an orange exterior and looks good.
Not sure what to go with on the cloth inserts though if you prefered those.

mines a burnt metallic orange, but i went with a tan with black carpet. I couldn't deside between tan carpet or black, kinda thought tan would be a little much. oh well i like it. i thought it turned out good with orange. but it's kind of a personal preference.

these were taken last summer when i was still working on the interior.

the top never goes on mine...so no getting wet,the orange has faded so im having the interior re-done.the last couple of years down at hot august nights really lightened the orange...its not from the nw summer weather : ) .it was in the roadster show last year...now happily retired in the garage and looking forward to lots of local cruise in action.

I was worried about fade and wear too so my wife sewed up some white beach towels to throw over the seats. I need them to last more than just a couple of years, especially since I drive it everyday. But I'm the opposite, I never take the top off. Too dusty around here and I like the AC in the summer so the family is comfortable... After spending the money I did for foam and covers plus my own time doing it,,,,I'd be pissed if I had to redo it again in a couple years

If your worried about it getting wet or faded use marine grade foam and material because its highly uv and mildew resistant. Go to a shop and get some samples

Now if they made marine grade houndstooth we'd be on to something

I think black would look good too but, I'm worried about leaving skin on the seat in the summer. Plus, I have a young daughter and I don't want her to get burned.

I bought some horse sadle blankets. They are like a mexican blanket but thicker. They are a must for sunny days. It saves your hide and your noga hide. I think i got mine for $12 each.
