A/C Max not making a/c blow harder - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

It seems like it would be the blower motor resistor but the only schematic I can find doesn give me any details that I need to make sure its the resistor. Anyone have a diagram... I think the resistor is OE so its probably about time to replace it.

Is the vacuum line coming out of the firewall near the distributor hooked up?

the speed of blower nosie does not change, I will check the connection but expect it to connected I get airflow from the top vents..
edit, line connected as its always been. gonna replace the resistor tomarrow or someday soon.

Make sure the switch is sealing since its vacuum operated of it has a leak it may not be switching to the high load resistor

I wondered how and what controls the resistor ... guess I can connect a smoke machine to the vacuum line and it would make it easy to find. I know the new blend door plastic piece is broken again.. lasted all of 1 yr. GM should have sourced it to china.. woulda lasted 2 years
