Re: WTB OE vacuum gauge & tach / vac lens

I just purchased a complete cluster a while back. I have the lens only though. I will disassemble and get pics for you tomorrow. The lens is so far so good from what I have seen.

Re: WTB OE vacuum gauge & tach / vac lens

be patient and look around... the big C40-60 styles had them in them all the time......sometimes together, meaning you could get just a vac guage no tach . and tach and no vac...so what an alternative is (and much cheaper) if you have a tach dash then just replace the lower right gages then you have a full tach/vac set up....except the glass...and you can do one of two things, buy full instrument glass aftermarket/ or do what ive done multiple times,(before you could ever buy it) modify both instrument glasses, if you cut the vac font glass area out perfect and cut out your tach dash lower delete area in your glass perfect (like a puzzle peice) you can peice it together and youll never see it..be that the plastic bezel face will hide it...i have done it a few times for myself and for buddies and when its all installed...you cannot tell the glass has been modified, it works beleive me!

Re: WTB OE vacuum gauge & tach / vac lens

Oh yeah.. I just realized I took a few pics already. lol
Let me take it out and clean it up to confirm condition and commit price. As you can see the lettering is all solid, not chipped and the lens itself seems to be in pretty clear shape... I will get back with you tomorrow with better pics

oh your all good...you just need the gauge ...i didnt know completely were you were with it all...those vac guages are easy to find....just gotta have wanderin eyes for those trucks....its funny cause all the tach dashes i have had my hands on back in the day,and a few vac/tach's too, and in my little 69 i have neither/nothin.it's so crazy....back in the 80's dad and me had a buisness that dealt with nothing but the 67-72 parts..(old style classics) We used to sell ton of interior/small parts and lots of those tach dashes....one of my trips to the portland swap meet .....with bout 6 tach dashes and just walked around lookin at cars and parts with those dashes slung over our shoulder's ..... people were stoppin us in motion and we were sellin'm for $300 bucks
