Adding sliding rear window?

I have a '70 GMC Custom Camper and it does -not- have the sliding rear window. I'm surprised, since it has pretty much every other camper-related option.

Were they available in 1970? Does anyone make them, or would I have to find a used one?

In any event, can they be trivially added to an existing truck (ie: without body modification)?

Thanks!
Dave

Re: Adding sliding rear window?

LMC offers them and says it's an easy install, just wondering if it would be "year correct" for my truck.

Re: Adding sliding rear window?

I bought mine from lmc. It's a nice unit. It fit's well and no air noise. The only thing i dont like is it only comes in black. I think it would look better silver.

Re: Adding sliding rear window?

My truck came with a C R Laurence aftermarket and am very happy with it. I wish mine wasn't black, either, though.

That is the brand we have sold for years now.No one makes a silver on any longer. I happen to like the black better but that is just me. Yours looks fine to me,
