Hey, what way is the best to Palm Springs from Northern Ca, drive to LA and east or is there a quicker way.

Take 210 East as soon as you hit LA. You'll bypass most of the crap and it'll put you right onto I-10 just after San Berdoo. Timing is everything, hit LA after 2pm on a weekday and it'll be slow going eastbound til around 6.
Might be less hassle to go through the desert: 58 East through Bakersfield, 395 South, 15/215 South to 210 or 10 East. |

Malo nailed it. I5 to 210 east, which runs into the 10. Just try not to hit the 210 in the afternoon.
