Front end question

Replaced the springs in the front of my 65 C10. I pulled the lower contol arms off at the frame where the U bolts are. My question is, is there a specific measrurement where to put them back on, or do the get moved when the front end is aligned? I put them back pretty much where they came off, but I though I had better ask someone that might know the correct way.

Re: Front end question

On the top of the control arm shaft, where the front u-bolt is, there is an indentation in the shaft-that needs to align with the "button" in the saddle where the shaft fits to the crossmember. That locates the control arm shaft and prevents it from spinning in the saddles.

Re: Front end question

Thanks, I didn't pay much attention when I pulled it apart, but that is what I did. Just wanted to make sure that was right. Thanks again.
