Looking for 16" or bigger wheels for my 2wd 86 long box, what are my options?
I'd like something that's a direct fit, and I usually only prefer oem type wheels.
I seen this truck in the archives and I absolute love these wheels. They're off a late model chevy, would they be a direct bolt on? Thanks in advance. |

Those wheels only fit with an adapter or custom drilled rotors and drums. All GM trucks and SUV's from 99+ have six lug wheels, your 86 C-10 is a five lug design. Up until 98 GM really didn't run 16's in a five lug patterns, at least none that I can think of.
Your options are wheel spacer/adapters or custom drill your rotors or drums, or convert your truck with 88-98 six lug parts, like so... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=447061 Now if you don't want a lift you don't have to use the lift spindles, just stock spindles from a 88-98 light duty 2500 EDIT: Tahoe limited wheels were 16x7's in a 5x5, but JL finding some

Hey guys just for clarification, If I get light duty 2500 spindles, rotors,& calipers they will bolt right on to my 86 1/2 ton A arms? I was looking to swap a 2000 disc brake rear end into my truck and this would fix my problem. Not looking for any kind of lift.

I would think you could do it, but having never done it myself I would check with the guy who has. I'd PM justins76 and see what he has to say. But if anything you would need c30 lower control arms and your stock uppers.

255/60R17 tires with 17" wheels are ~29" tall. Perfect for our trucks.
