I have a nice complete all original '72 column listed here in the parts board that I just removed from my truck to change interior colors. Do you have the non-colapsable column? Mine is complete with lower shaft to make the swap to colapsable a bolt-in deal..

post # 43. The customer just wanted it blasted and painted black to match his interior. Like Special K mentioned, you can use columns other than 68. The difference in 67-68 columns and later ones is that the steering shaft on the 67-68 was one longer complete piece instead of having a collapsible intermediate shaft that connect to the steering box. I believe the design change was for a safety feature so the columns had some "give" in the event of an automobile accident.

I will completely overhaul a non tilt column for $225 shipped. Painted whatever color specified and will also include a brand new turn signal switch of your choice. Either the red flasher knob type, or black "mushroom" type, or possibly chrome knob.

Oh.. Also I believe the later style (69-72) columns had taller paintable shift indicators and pointers.

Not sure about value... $80 plus shipping without the wheel? Only issue i see is the indicator housing is broken. (not the chrome housing, the plastic part behind it) And this is a 67-68 1 piece column. I am not sure where the shifter arm is, but i will include it if i find it.
