How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
My truck is my daily driver. Matter of fact for the last year and a half or so it's been my only vehicle, well other than my wife's vehicle. I want to finish the paint and body work and do a few other things but it's hard to find time to work on it when you have to depend on it to get you to work. I was wondering how many of you are like me and your truck is your daily transportation.

Mine is a garage queen. It only comes out on weekends, sunny days, and car shows.

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
My '79 is my daily driver. I had to sell my motorcycle, so the truck's the only thing I have now other than a bicycle...

Every day, rain or shine.
Lil Red got the last two winters off, as I was (conveniently) driving a company car during that time. But - other than that...sittin' out in the lot as we speak. K

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
Thanks man, it's gettin there, little bit at a time! I've been meaning to start a build thread, just been too dang busy! My buddy and I cut about 2 coils out of the front, and we cut the rear leaf mounts off the frame, flipped em upside down and welded em back on. That in itself I believe is about a 6" drop in the rear, and then we took out 3 or 4 leaves, so probably closer to 7...? And about the same in front I think. I desperately need to get some drop spindles though, the front is waaaay out of whack now but hey, didnt cost me a dime!

Mine is my daily driver. Unless it breaks down, then I upgrade to my mom's 05 F-150.

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
Mine has been a daily driver for almost 2 years now. I drive 4miles to work 7 days a week with a trip once in while to Lowes or O'Riellys or a car show. Planning on buying a new daily driver and doing a full resto on my little black shorty then it will be a garage queen.

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
Used to run mine everyday. Then my wife started working with me and we ride together in her '04 burban.
My son uses my '86 now to go to school until he gets his '69 running. Then mines going on blocks and cleaned up from the inside out.

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
Well between my 82 K-30, 79 C-20 and my 2000 Suburban. I drive them all the time when I am home. Deployed right now so they don't get used much.
Although the 82 is going under the knife when I get back getting a Cummins/Allison 6 speed. Then that will be the daily and the 79 will become a work truck. The Suburban is just for when I want A/C haha

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
Mines my dd, I traded a jeep for it that was supposed to be a dd which turned into a big toy. Lol I don't know why I thought the truck would be any less of a toy. My real project is still parked... at least its in a garage now but still. I have a hard time paying attention to something I'm not driving everyday, even worse since its apart.

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
DD... It's day started 4:25am this morning because a Jeep layed down and died, literally. Both front tires broke at the axle and went in opposite directions. Only the brake lines held the wheels to the Jeep...

Re: How Many Use their Truck for the Daily Grind?
Everyday driver except when it rains or snows then I drive a beater 92 s10 blazer. Looking to get a MK3 VW Golf to replace the truck as a daily driver though since gas is getting a wee bit high. The truck will retire to a once or twice a week cruiser.
