Under bed rail lights???
I would like to add some sort of cargo area/bed light so I can light her up when needed. I don't want to take away from the OEM apperance though, yes I know I'm asking for the cake and wanting to eat it too. I recieved the new LMC catalog in the bix yesterday and saw the under the bed rail cargo lights, seems simple. Anyone used these yet and got a review?
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cbe/full.aspx?Page=42 In case the linky don't work thery have Part Number 38-1063 for $80.00 see picture.

Re: Under bed rail lights???
I haven't used these, but I have a friend that made his own set that is almost identical. They work great! He mounted the switch near the rear driver side stake post and added a dimmer on it as well. It's all hidden under the rails so it looks and works great.

Re: Under bed rail lights???
We're going to do the same thing to our Panel; but it doesn't really count as under the bed-rail since it's a panel, and there aren't any.
this is just photoshop.. but yeah LED's are definitely a good way to go.

Re: Under bed rail lights???
I thought about a set for my '08 2500. But I couldnt spend 80 bucks on it. So I ran to Autozone and picked up two 12" led flex strips for 10 bucks. I wired a switch into a little plastic plug and its been through the carwash 10 times and a couple rain storms and they still work great!
Pardon the cell phone pic It's a lot brighter in person.

Re: Under bed rail lights???
If you do end up doing some lights, I think it'd be pretty sweet to tie them into your headlight switch so they come on with your interior cab light.
