nv4500 conversion
I searched but I need specific info. I have a 1988 1 ton crewcab, sm465 four speed, hydraulic clutch, 350 TBI engine, 2 wheel drive. I want to switch to an nv4500 for the overdrive. What exactly do I need to do, which years trans do I hunt for. Thanks in advance, Trevman.

Re: nv4500 conversion
Any years should be fine as long as it came out of a Chevy 2 wheel drive. Pay attention to the syncros on a used NV4500. You'll need to shorten your driveshaft.

Check out this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?t=431033/
I know it's 4x4, but the meat & potatoes are there for a trans swap.
