Will any model q-jet be compatible I have the 4mv now
I am having killer carb issues and cannot get my 4mv to cooperate. I have someone who just had one rebuilt and then went with a different carb. I beleive it is an em4v I know the configuration is about the same other than the carb mounted choke. Is the bolt pattern and base plate the same? will it work?
I have a 72 bone stock 350 |

What's wrong with it?
FWIW....there should be numbers stamped into the carb. Write em down. The web is your friend to help identify what you really have. FWIW2...q-jets are real easy to rebuild, kits are avilable. Tons of web sites, including this one, will help. HTH..good luck...don t. ..... |

That carb will bolt onto any Q-jet intake. And yes, it is an M4ME. The M4M q-jets are great carbs.

Keep in mind that carbs are built for specific engines and their specs so you may or may not be getting the maximum efficiency out of the carb. It's worth giving it a try, though.

That is my favorite carb to work with. The electric chokes work great. You can use it on practically any Q-jet manifold as the choke is self contained. Put a kit in it & seal the plugs in the bottom of the bowls & you will have a carb that works as good as FI.
