heavy duty carrier bearing!!!!!
was just looking tru this site www.iedls.com i see they have an aluminium housing polyurethane bushed carrier bearing for 58-72chey trucks. anybody here using one??

Yea, I do have one, and it works really well. The only thing is, they are to wide to go into the mount on the frame, so you will have to have it milled down to fit. It wasn't really a big deal though. Just about 15 minutes to measure it, and I got someone to machine it for free. When I called the company, they didn't seem to know anything about it not fitting on 67-72trucks, but one I had it modified it worked fine, and it was better than any other choice you have.

center support bearing
Depending on the amount of power you are running, the stock bearing may work. I just did the back half on my truck. I upgraded the tubes and all of the yokes to 1350's. The shop I had do the work on the driveline, said the support in my truck is the heavy duty version and can withstand the 400-500 horse I plan to put to it. I do not have a part number, but you could find out from a shop in your area.
