Any other single axle 1 tons??

I usually spend my time in the 69-72 blazer forum but on a rare occasion I explored over here

Here's my original 79 1 ton that I've had for many years. Recently the 454 spun a bearing so a new 502 crate engine went in.

Here's old blue before it got stolen. '79 1 ton SRW 4 speed and low enough gears to tow a house. I loved the patina on this truck....

You can set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill,
and I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe de Ville.

Don't have one, but they are one of my favorites. Definitely rare birds for sure.

1986 Chevy k30 454. The frame is so clean that 02-26-86 is still clearly stamped on the frame on the passenger side near the rear wheel well.

Re: Any other single axle 1 tons??

Neat stuff, don't see the 4x4 single axle 1 tons often.

I bought mine up in Battle Ground, Washington years ago. I see someone here is near that area. It's original and unrestored aside from a recent engine install. Original paint and interior. I have some of those chalk marks on the frame up front "6076" or something like that. Still has paper tags on some suspention parts, including the rear springs that say "3500" on them.

We just never saw them this clean back East so I traveled (living in Ohio at the time) 2600 miles to get it.

I take it the single axle 1 tons are very few on the board here??

Here's a C30 I stopped and looked over some time back while on a day trip. It's a 1985 with 350/manual transmission.

Is that truck from south western Ontario? I saw it truck on KIJIJI. I only ask because the front turn signals are mounted in 81-82 bezels and I remember that was peculiar. What was the condition of the truck, if you don't mind?

Yes, it was near the airport east of St. Thomas and west of Aylmer.
It was in very good shape best I could tell. No one was around to speak to or open it up.

I have a lot of friends in western Ontario.

Yeah, I remember it being close to me, St. Thomas is about an hour away from me. If it were a 4x4 I would've bought it, I remember it starting out at $4000, then the last time I saw it, it was $2800.

If it had been a 4x4 I would have brought back to the states!

It's interesting that most all of the single axle 1 tons here are 4x4's so far.

Re: Any other single axle 1 tons??

you know, i see your point, ive never looked for anything except full load, 4x4, automatic silverados or sierra classics. just due to the fact they are the highest level offered. i have seen them, but not very often in my searches. i believe the most 2 wheelers ive seen are usually duallys. the factory high option big block, auto, 4x4's are pretty hard to find, but i havent seen very many single wheel 2 wheel drive trucks. funny lol i believe the first two are two wheelers, but i am not as familiar with older models as i am wit 84-87 models.
