Just checking in to say hello... recently met a guy that spoke very highly of the knowledge level here on this board.
I just got a 62 C10 and have plans to go through it so I will have lots of questions. Peace Bob |

robber grin
one thing I love about the 60,61,62,63 C10's is the wrap around window. I drove a 57 in high school (79,80), 235/3 on the tree, same front window me thinks! peace! Craigerrr |

Re: New Member
Wow - Thanks for the warm welcome!
For now I'm selling parts and trying to come up with some more to get started on the 62. Plans are pretty simple and have to be as "low-budget" as possible... 78 burb front clip staying 6 lug but going disk brakes with Bell 2 1/2" drop spindles and drop coils... drop coils and blocks out back with a notch and adjustable panhard bar... motorvation is a 64 283 with a four barrel TH350 and a 73 K10 6 lug rear with 3:07's... might go with a GMC hood and grill and floating chrome element (sans the letters) ... leaning towards eventually going paint in dove gray with white on top... I'm being encouraged to bring it out in the "patina" aka RUST. Thanks again gang! Bob |

Re: New Member
Thanks for all the warm welcomes!
Any of you 60 - 62 frame runners have any experience with the rear frame notch? I bought a LMC Rear Frame Notch Kit because is said in their catalog that is covers my year frame. Received it today and the package states 63 - 72 on the side. Called them and not a problem - seems it's as simple as slapping a sticker on it and dropping it off at UPS... However that scenario doesn't help notch my frame. LMC's customer service representative said to take it out of the box and look to see if I think it might work. I will study that first thing in the am, but I thought I'd run it past you guys first too. I'm thinking 6" pipe notch (like a friend suggested) and returning this kit unless you guys say it can be made to work. T-I-A, Bob |
