Flipping a factory rear bumper
I would like some overhead and side pics of a OEM flipped rear bumper.Any pointers on mount mods etc. will be a big help.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Flipping a factory rear bumper
You might want to check out a 67-72 bumper. It looks pretty much like a 60-66 that has been flipped. The mounts will bolt to our frame also. I'm assuming you're talking about a fleetside bumper?

Re: Flipping a factory rear bumper
The truck pictured above has a 67-72 rear bumper. It's got a factory look, and I understand that it'll bolt right up with little or no modification.
The front bumper is a stock 60-66 bumper that's been flipped. Pretty slick. Not my truck, but I like the subtle touches.

Re: Flipping a factory rear bumper
that looks really good flipped upside down like that. So the brackets need to be bent at the right angle to do that? or can you just flip the brackets upside down too?
I've had about half dozen people tell my bumper looks upside down, lol. |

Re: Flipping a factory rear bumper
i just fliped mine. you can unbolt just the brackets(bumper attached) and flip it. you will need to cut off the tabs on the brakets. i think they are there so that you dont accidentally put them on the wrong side. srry no pics yet.
