Patch panel source

Thinking about buying some patch panels for my 71 . I don't intend for it to ever be a show truck but it is a very nice original C20 ochre LWB fleet side. I was looking at buying rockers inner and outer as well as cab corners. What are your thoughts ? Thanks in advance Chris

Re: Patch panel source

You could check out some of the vendors on here, they all carry patch panels.

Re: Patch panel source

I just completely restored my cab. I used many patches. The worst fitting pieces were the front floor patch made by key parts bought at Kennys trucks but they are the same at LMC and other suppliers. The metal is thinner and doesn't really fit properly. The kick panels on both sides were terrible. same mfg. The rockers fit pretty good, I guess they have worked the bugs out these? (Key parts/tri plus). The inner rockers were just flat strips that had to be customized to make work. The best fitting pieces, the cab corners, came from Tabco made in USA back in the 90s. Their patches seem to be real close to OEM thickness and fit very well.
If I was going to do another one. I would call Tabco and see what they have in stock. They will sell foreign patches when they are back ordered on their parts. You can check out my build thread for the rust repair.
