55-59 (airbag) IFS

I've checked out numerous IFS setups for 55-59 Chevy trucks from several different mfgs. but can't seem to find one that suits all of my needs. Most of them either offer one or two options that I need (and or) want but not all the options and features I'm looking for in one complete package.

So I compiled a list of options, specs and general info. of what I'm looking for to see if anyone could help me out.


-airbags (not Shockwaves)
-power rack and pinion
-Mustang II style
-LS motor mounts etc.
-standard disc brakes (don't care about fancy rotors)
-significant drop built in (want the truck to lay body)
-drop spindles
-driveability (truck will be driven alot, and hard)
-price


If anyone can point me in the right direction where I can find all of these things in one package deal/setup, or if any (reputable) site supporters can make me one with all the features I'm looking for I would greatly appreciate it.

Here is our ifs kit on the parts you will get and other parts you will need as well.

Scotts superslam ifs
2 x 4 sq 3/16 wall thickness on the crossmember one piece style for a easier installation.

Our crosstubes that secure the upper and lower a-arms are made out of 1 1/8 1018 solid bar stock

Upper and lower tubular a-arms made out of 1 1/8 round 1/4 wall dom tubing

Our upper rodends for your caster and camber adj are made out of 304 s.s

Spindals will be a dropped forged steel spindal

power rack will be a BRAND NEW power rack with a lifetime warranty

Boxing plates are included

Bags will be a slam specialty bag

shocks will be a monroe shock

rack notches will come with the kit

grade 8 hardware for all of your bolts

brakes will be a 11 inch rotor bolt pattern will be a 5 on 4 3/4 or 5 on 4 1/2 your choice.We have 5 on 5 and 6 lug as well.Gm caliper with pads and our caliper bracket

Our product is 100% tig welded

sway-bar is included in the kit. We also have our Torsion splined bar as a upgrade

braided s.s line kit with banjo bolts

Master booster pedal assy we have three choices you can get
1.Scotts frame mount pedal assy

We have master booster assy and we have wilwood manual masters to

Brake lines kits for your complete frames

Rear suspension we have our

I'm not gonna spill all the beans yet... but our 55-59 Dropmember will allow the same results as the ones we currently offer for the C10 trucks. It even utilizes the C10 spindles and brakes.

That was the only way we had room to go all the way out the back! Tight squeeze with all the components in place!

Thanks for all the info, it definately helps. I'll call some of these vendors over the next few days and compare apples to apples and see which direction I decide to go. I'm hoping to purchase in a couple of months so I'll keep you guys posted, and probably start a build thread when I do.

The 55-59 kits will be production ready within a month or two. There was a bit of design work to get it just how I wanted it... and a few more parts than the Dropmember for the C10s... that will have a small impact on the overall price.

I'm excited to post up some pics of the completed kit... it's pretty trick.

It is designed around our C10 Dropmember kit's geometry... so it uses the C10 spindle.... and C10 arms. Factory uppers from 63-87, and factory lowers from 73-87 will work on the air bag version. Of course you can upgrade to our tubular arms in standard length or narrowed options.

If you want coil-overs.... It will need our tubular arms.

This will be available as a 100% bolt in kit as well.
