Front and Rear Side Marker Question

Hey guys, not sure if I can even ask this question but I remember a few months ago some of you bad-mouthing some of the "deluxe" side markers from a vendor or 2....can any of you recommend the "best" quality front and rear deluxe side markers?

IIRC, the complaint was about the flimsiness or lack of quality on the chrome divider piece.

Thanks in advance.

Got her started last week for the 1st time since September....clutch, brakes and a few detail pieces and she'll be ready to drive again after the sorta frame off!

Re: Front and Rear Side Marker Question

I've heard that the side marker lights on 80's model vans will work...anybody have any good things to say about these? If you do, please give me the model year of van you used.

Can the chrome pieces somehow be attached/glued/epoxied to stay on better?

Re: Front and Rear Side Marker Question

I ordered my van markers from Brothers, they are more of a flush mount style. They were vans for a number of years not exactly sure what years though.

Re: Front and Rear Side Marker Question

I ordered side marker lights on ebay from The Chevy Parts Guys aka Kendall Chevrolet in Eugene, Oregon. The listing is for 69-72 Chevy Truck red rear marker lights lens/bezel GM NOS discontinued., and Front amber marker lens GM NOS discontinued. They were higher than the reproductions that I had found. 25.75@ for the red P/N 911310 and 35.50@ for amber P/N 911311. I spoke to Kendall Chevrolet on the phone, and a Kendall Chevrolet invoice was with my markers. They are sealed in a GM package, they have the chrome bezels, and gasket.

Re: Front and Rear Side Marker Question

It seems like all the repops are junk. I found NOS at the local Chevy dealer, they still exist but are discontinued. Ask the parts man to do a nation wide search for you, they still can find some but they aint cheap...but the quality is worth the price.

Re: Front and Rear Side Marker Question

I used to use super glue all around the chrome trim rings to hold them on after I lost one, I re-did them all on the truck.....but then I found these and replaced my front/rear markers.....expensive but soooo worth it!!!
