New Project......1981 Chevy LWB
Been lurking on the board for a while now and decided to start a thread. To track my progress. I have had several 1960-1969 Chevrolet Trucks, but this is my first squarebody. Just picked up a new to me 1981 Chevy LWB. Truck had a diesel motor in it that has been replaced with a 350. Needs a few things, but they all do. The truck has brand new exhaust and a rebuilt turbo 400 with zero miles. This will be a slow build, but the plans are to get it running and make it my daily driver. I am planning on dropping it 4/6 and getting rally wheels to put on it. Since I know everyone here likes pictures.....Here you go.....

Re: New Project......1981 Chevy LWB
Rockers are in good shape. One of the cab corners is good and the other has got a little bit of rust. The only bad part of the body is in the corner of the drivers door. Previous owner backed into something with the door open and the corner of the door is a little bent.
I am currently working on cleaning and rebuilding an Edelbrock performer carb. Also got some Edelbrock valve covers and a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake that will go on. Think I am going to keep the manifolds on for now. Thank you everyone for the compliments..... |
