Re: 1968 c10 project "lil blue"
well been kinda busy. I got a final plan down. going to do a bed off deep red paint job drop in a mild build big cammed 400 4 bolt main. going to pull the tank out of the back seat and put a fuel cell down under the bed, with a chrome hatch to access it , and to make the stereo match the truck its getting a full custom cab shaker stereo, and this is just what is planned , oh forgot to add, a 2 1/2 inch drop in front and a 2 in back

Re: 1968 c10 project "lil blue"
Not to well, the guy we got it from blew it up thats why he sold it, tack recall was at 8800 with 120,000 miles on a full race motor with cast pistons and worn out valves , it just spelled disaster

Re: 1968 c10 project "lil blue"
nice place to start a build you may want to think about the ever rising cost of gas before you build a gas hog.

Re: 1968 c10 project "lil blue"
Engine is built, .060 over with new eagle rods, seal power forged flat tops with Bowtie phaseI heads cut down to 60cc chambers with 2.05/1.60 valves. Didn't go to big on cam 480/480 280/280 with roller rockers. For esthetics it has a deep sump 8 quart pan with a powder coated edelbrock intake with a 750 Holley dual line double pumper.... Oh and she is getting sprayed

Re: 1968 c10 project "lil blue"
Starting work soon on building the th350 tranny and putting some better clutches in it and a shift kit. After we get that installed we are tubing ( I think that's how you spell it) the rear 1.5-2 inches and putting a full floater ford 9" NASCAR style rear end under it. Then comes the 300 shot direct port nitrous kit with dual bottles mounted in the bed on each side, yes I'm going to keep 2 empty bottles around to run in it as every day driver.

Re: 1968 c10 project "lil blue"
Have a crap load of pictures i need to upload. We have pulled the transmission. We have also removed the cab and bed. She needs the driver side rear cab corner, cab supports , front floor board corners on both sides. There is some rust on the doors but not ate through or deep so it will be patched. Other than some bed mount brackets that have been ate up and that is literally all the rust on the truck.
