Cool Project *candy* my 68 c10

AFTER ABOUT 4 YEARS IM FINALLY GONNA PUT THIS THING TOGETHER! I BOUGHT A 68 C10 BACK IN 2009 FOR $800. ITS WASN’T GREAT (WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FOR $800 REALLY) BUT IT RAN AND IT WAS ALL INTACT (FOR THE MOST PART) SO I DROVE IT HOME AND PARKED IT IN THE BACK YARD. I LOST ALL MY PICTURES THAT I TOOK OF THE TRUCK WHEN I FIRST GOT IT AND SOME OF THE BEGINNING PROCESS SHOTS BUT I WAS ABLE TO FIND SOME ONLINE THAT I WILL POST UP THAT RESEMBLE A BEFORE SHOT. AFTER ABOUT 3 YEARS OF WALKING PAST THIS THING EVERYDAY DOING NOTHING TO IT I GOT FED UP! MOST OF IT WAS FINNANCIAL ISSUES AND SOME OF IT WAS JUST PLAIN LAZYNESS HAHA. BUT I GOT MY S**T TOGETHER AND STARTED TEARING INTO IT TAKING IT DOWN TO THE FRAME. I REMOVED EVERYTHING FROM THE CAB STRIPPING IT DOWN AND ROLLED THE FRAME TO THE SIDE. MY PLANS ARE TO FIRST OF ALL DITCH THE LONG BED AND CONVERT TO A SHORT BED. I WANT TO KEEP THE TOP (BODY) MOSTLY ALL STOCK EXCEPT FOR THE PAINT JOB WHICH I WANT SOMETHING CANDY (HENCE THE NAME OF MY TRUCK/BUILD). THE FRAME WAS GONNA GO UNDER EXTENSIVE SURGERY SINCE I WANTED TO BUILD A BAGGED TRUCK THAT LAID FRAME. I HAVE A LOT OF WORK AHEAD OF ME SINCE MY DAD AND I ARE BUILDING THIS IN THE BACK YARD WITH LIMITED SPACE. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME BUILDING A C10 AND IM STILL PRETTY NEW TO THE FORUM SO ANY INFO OR FEEDBACK ANY OF YOU GUYS CAN KICK BACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I HOPE YOU COME BACK AND CHECK UP ON THE PROGGRESS OF MY BUILD. ILL BE POSTING PICTURE UP SOON HOPEFULLY ILL HAVE A COUPLE UP BY THIS WEEKEND

Re: Project *candy* my 68 c10

BEFORE SHOTS

PICTURE THIS BUT WITH NO FRONT BUMBER THE FRONT FEDERES WERE TRASHED I THINK THE GUY WHO HAD IT BEFORE ME WENT SIDE SWIPPING CAR LATE ONE NIGHT! IT HAD THE BIG INDUSTRIAL SIZED MIRRORS ON THERE TOO. THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TOWARD THE BACK WAS COMPLETELY CAVED IN. IT WAS A WODDEN BED TRUCK I THINK IT CAME WITH A 307 AND A MANUAL TRANNY THAT WHO EVER HAD IT BEFORE ME JUST THREW IN THERE CAUSE IT LOOKED LIKE THE JUST PUNCHED A WHOLE ON THE FLOOR AND PUT THE SHIFTER THRU HAHA. IT WAS AN UGLY LOOKING THING BUT AMAZINGLY THERE WASNT TO MUCH RUST THRUOUGHT THE WHOLE THING. IT WAS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE (BESIDES ALL THE CRAP THAT WAS WRONG WITH IT) HAHA!

ILL POST UP SOME MORE PICS THIS WEEKEND OF HOW THE BODY LOOK NOW AFTER MAJOR BODY WORK!
