Looking for 81-87 Chevy cab trim in driver quality. Looking for the 2 corner pieces with the Chevy bowtie logo, and the center piece. Thanks.

No man, i'll never give up on the GMC parts haha. A friend of mine has an 86 Chevy and is looking for the cab trim, so i figured i'd test the waters here. My truck, however, is slowly coming along...i sent a bench seat in to get re-upholstered (got the 70's cloth from SMS) which should be ready in a couple weeks. Gonna be ordering a molded carpet soon too. Also picked up an OEM hood, OEM GMC tailgate, and OEM doors...as well as a NOS passenger side front fender. Once i find a drivers side fender, i'm gonna get the truck painted.

That's an awesome truck! As you can tell from my truck, i appreciate and love things that are kept original...so i dig how yours still has the original white rims and white bumper like mine does. I also like that yours has the GMC dog dish hubcaps like my as well. Where did you score her from ? There's some writing on the doors, so i'm guess it was from a business ?

Northern85 pm'ed me a few weeks ago and said he had 2 GMC trucks I might be interested in. He had bought 3 from a 'local to him' contractor and could only keep 1 (a '72 in original condition). This '79 & an '85 could be mine for reasonable if I wanted them. The contractor special ordered both of these with the Diesel and in High Sierra trim.
I went to look at them and bought them on the spot. My 19 year old wants the '85, which has a 6.2L diesel which runs like a top. The bed is junk - so I am putting my bed on his (both are factory dual tank short step) so as to keep his original. Other than wood planks needing new, my bed is mint - so its going on his.
I bought a bed thats not too bad to put on mine. This '79 powerplant (Olds350Diesel) is good for parts only, so I'm replacing it with an Olds 455 or sbc, not sure yet.
Anyway, I think a Build Thread may need to be started - maybe on both....
Glad to see you are being faithful to your '79, thats AWESOME.
